Graphite and Ink on Polydraw film. A4 size.
This is a copy of one of Joel Bloch's fabulous Fractal series of photos, used with his very kind permission. His site is www.joelbloch.net and the original photograph is at joelbloch.format.com/fractals#… (it's worth checking out, it's much more impactful than my version!)
The frames of the pictures, hair and some of the darkest points on the face are ink (Unipin fine liners). The rest is Staedler & Faber Castell pencils (9B, 4B, HB) and Pentel P203 & P205 mechanical pencils.
I'd guess about 12-15 hours work in total. Much of it trying to get the faces looking ok - the smallest one is only a few millimetres in size.
